Luna Moth pendant in transluscent horn by fairyfrog Luna Moth pendant in transluscent horn by fairyfrog
Back-lit view.
Deeply inspired by the amazing Art Nouveau artist Elizabeth Bonte - google her horn sculpting work!
Trying my hand at a piece of flat cows' horn. Next task is probably a hair comb in the same style, perhaps on a delicate pond theme with dragonflies and water lilies.

ca 50 mm across the wings, slightly in two levels with the wings. The lines making it somewhat striped is the horns' natural structure.
Droplet in dyed blue opalescent agate.
Carefully tinted in pale blue.

Made in 2015, I think.

*warm hugs * I long to make more horn carvings. More insects. Dragonflies, perhaps.

Dragonfly is particularly trans-formative. :)
