Intaglio bead with roses

Trying something new Intaglio-wise.
Since i noticed how cabochons distort and magnify the carved pattern I was curious to see how a spherical item would work. I have a project where i want to carve an egg and I needed some practice.

So, doodling some roses and leaf, then taking a look to see if you could see anything on the inside. It's a weird effect, like looking at something through a glass marble, and the magnifying effect covers 100% of the surface. Sadly, the depth of the flowers doesn't show and it's nearly impossible to see what I'm doing, but I'll keep trying this idea.

Worst case I'll end up with amber beads with pretty surface patterns.

The two top pictures are taken with macro -through- the spherical bead itself, while the middle just shows it finished with some pen markings still there. >.<
