Reverse engraving, filled with a chalk-based paste for contrast in "assembled amber".
Pendant lit from behind to show off the roses.

Inspired by my grandmothers Peace Roses. Huge, very fragrant and soft yellow/pink in colour.
Pendant size: 30 mm.

The peg at the top is a small inserted ring for a bezel. It was attached when I bought the material and I decided to work around it.

I use a variety of jeweler grade steel burrs. Ball- straight- cone- flame/tulip- and barrel shaped ones, from 0.5 mm up to my largest ball burr that's about 7mm/diameter.
They don't get much wear when doing this thanks to the soft nature of the material.

Beautiful! What tool do you use to do the reverse engraving? It'sso details. Each petal is so tiny and delicate. Will this be attached to a pendant or put inside a bezel?
