Description
It may not look very special, and when worn no one is going to be able to tell the difference from a regular inlay, but it matters to me, and it makes me so happy! It may not look like much, but the work behind it was extensive and painstaking.
I am really not supposed to post this yet, but the wedding is not for another couple of months and I am so proud!
I've seen quite the few stacked and soldered straight rings, a few with a faintly waved line through-n-through but never anything like this.
I wanted to create a band with an irregular wave line, but a line that wasn't simply made as an inlay but that would never come off. And show on the inside. In gold. So what I did was pretty much sawing up a squiggle-edged, very expensive clothing pin. And clamped a white gold sheet in between, then soldering it together. I then split the bullion in half, so the gents' ring will have a pattern perfectly mirrored against the lady's. <3
There will be more pictures later, but for now.. I was so excited I had to post it!
(OMG it worked! When I realized that and I saw the pattern for the first time.. I nerdgasmed. .)
