Incredible! could I ask how long it takes you to complete a piece like this?

Thank you!

This took, part from the planning, calculating and figuring out ho solve all the problems, about a total of 10-14 hours to make.

For me, figuring out all the details before I start and letting the design and idea "mature" is what takes time. Creating and manufacturing is a lot faster.

I didn't make this straight off in one go but had it as a side project while doing my job, but I think it's a fair estimate.

What does the star mean? (If it means anything) Very beautiful ring, by the way.

The design of thing was done by the commissioner. Her name is Astra, which means "Star" - hence the choice of sign, I believe! ;)

Thank you!
It is always exciting trying to convey a non-metalworkers ideas to practical reality, but her ( :icontarorae: ) drawings were thorough and demanded little change. I am very pleased with the result myself!

Thank you so much!
I like seeing WIP-shots myself, as well. I often get so caught in making the item that I forget to photograph steps of it, though. Almost like waking up and realizing the camera hasn't been used at all for several hours and the piece has progressed loads. Heh. :)
