I honestly think this is some of the best lampwork I've seen, (and I've seen ALOT of lampwork!)
Do you ever sell your beads?
When I began this wonderful craft a year ago I found a lot of pieces where I thought "I will NEVER be able to make anything remotely as pretty as that!" - and today I am almost there. What I need to work on is balance and now when I am getting a proper torch instead of just a hothead I'll have to re-learn some of the things I've done in the past - like how some glass react to the new environment.
It is hard to be a beginner at this. I compare myself with what people put up online - and people usually present their best work. I never took any classes but bought materials and did some trial-and-error along with a few books and tutorials, so I don't know what it is "supposed to be" at the beginning - but sometimes I feel like then I'm not aware of the supposed limitations either!
(Long rant. Heh. Sorry!
