This is the kind of picture I just love. the forging of a ring...

Made a pair of engagement rings in Palladium. My first engagement rings (placed on me for order) as well as my first (own) attempt with palladium! It was very exciting!

March 2010

Update:

Here they are finished. - [link]

Gold application and then patterned.

The thought with these rings is that they are going to look abstract when alone on the finger.

When the second ring (whis is not yet in production) is made for the wedding, it will be in gold with a single orange round gem.

..The thought is that they will look like a sunset over the ocean together, and the meeting between the two rings becoming the horizon.

I am looking forward to some day photograph the two rings together as a whole!

It is a very special and magical thing. I like it so much I often use this image as a logo, on my business cards and on my ETSY page, for instance. It is, indeed, pretty.
And people knowing a bit about metal instantly knows this can't be gold or silver. If you bring those metals up to this shine they will have melted already! ;)

Thank you!

I did engrave it, as well as giving it a patterned, water/wave-like surface.
